The Wisconsin Rural Opportunities Foundation, Inc. 2025 Premier Scholars have been selected! The volunteer judges were so deeply impressed with the incredible academic excellence of these recipients. Even more so, our judges were amazed by these young people’s clear, solid plans to return to rural Wisconsin post-graduation to pursue their careers.
Thanks to you – our supporters, educational partners, and past scholarship recipients – five awards of $3000 will be awarded.
I would like to recognize Susan Schultz for her leadership and vision for the WROF, Inc. Premier Scholarship Awards Program. Additionally, with Sue’s leadership, we recognize and thank the diligence of the dedicated members of the ad hoc Selection Committee. Key in their selection process was a clear pathway and commitment to serving rural Wisconsin upon graduation. Our selection committee reviewed short narratives that the students provided in response to our detailed application. The level of engagement in both school and community service and activities, plus often also working, demonstrated a level of determination to pursue careers that will benefit rural Wisconsin upon graduation.
